aorist
A musical sketchbook.
Aorist is my ongoing musical sketchbook project. A home base for all of my songwriting and sonic explorations. This is where I play with pairing my interests in musical and visual languages.
visual noise
I pair my songs with archival and family home movie footage found on the Internet Archive. These have become an extension of the visual language I use.
A cassette zine
Imagined as a cassette-zine, EP01 was distributed physically in a limited edition run of 45 cassette tapes.
Each numbered tape has a unique cover, featuring photographs I have taken over the years, selected specially for its recipient.
Using clear stickers on the cassette cases allowed me to use any J-card image for the artwork without printing the aorist logo on the photographs.
